she’s alone in a crowd
mind races
every direction
past, present, future
songs, conversations, ideas
vertigo

she can no longer take it
nothing makes sense
speak up they say
no words come out
shy girl they say
if only she could speak

clarity she craves
confusion she receives
please god
make it make sense
nothing
does it have to make sense

no he says
you must embrace it all
the mayhem in the shadows
if you allow it
art will reveal itself
nothing makes sense
except the art
that is born from your chaos
